About the Music BoostersThroughout the years, the Littlestown Music Booster Organization has functioned in a wide variety of ways in an effort to promote and support the activities of the Marching Bands, Concert Bands, Jazz Bands, Concert Choirs, Show Choirs, Musicals and music classrooms. By and large, this has been a student-centered faction of parents and/or members of our music community who perform numerous tasks to raise financial help and moral support for the students enrolled in the Littlestown School District.

What We Do |
Traditionally, the Boosters operate the concession stand located at Memorial Field for various outdoor athletic events, the “Dunk Willie” booth at the annual Fireman’ Carnival and candy sales at the Fall and Spring play. The Boosters also provide drivers and chaperones for the transportation of our students to and from Band Competition, Away Football games, other events (such as our bi-yearly band trip).
The monies raised from the Booster’s fundraisers are used to help pay for additional band equipment/instruments (drums, Tuba, etc..), sound equipment, band uniforms, and our bi-yearly music department trip. |
Involvement |
We hold meetings once a month (usually the second Thursday) to discuss the upcoming events and plan for the long term needs of the organization. The parents set the example of camaraderie and cooperation for the students that often last a lifetime and contribute to the heritage that has been established.
The Boosters are specifically open to any parent or guardian of band and chorus students from 4th Grade through High School and is generally open to any member of our community who wishes to advocate for student involvement in our band and music programs here at the Littlestown Area School District. There are no dues thus we strongly encourage parents to get involved in their children’s lives as early as possible. |
